Fading

Image for Fading

The Time Keeper’s watch lay on the workbench, its power reserves empty, and nothing to recharge it. Without $TIME, he was stranded in the present—a helpless witness to a doomed future. His trembling hands worked tirelessly, rewiring the delicate mechanism. If he couldn’t fuel it with $TIME, he would use something more precious: his own memories.

The first jump cost him the sound of his mother’s voice. The second, the warmth of his childhood home. With every leap, the Keeper became more of a stranger to himself. Yet, he pressed on, convinced that saving the timelines was worth the cost.

As he reached the final moment—the pivotal point in history—he no longer remembered why he was there or what he was fighting for. But his heart, though heavy with an unshakable void, whispered one truth: some things are worth losing everything for.
